The Fleece jacket traces the journey from design to manufacture of 6 objects crafted by Tom Ducarouge.
Material, shape, machine, manufacturing techniques: through the jacket he intended to illustrate all the stages involved. The aim of highlighting these elements is to encourage transparency and sustainability.
"We're used to consuming finished products. By revealing the story behind an object, we create an even stronger emotional bond that will encourage users to keep it over time and pass it on. This is what I wanted to convey through these textile labels, a nod to the stages I encountered during the manufacture of these objects”.
350 pieces produced in Paris were retailed to celebrate the reopening of Uniqlo Opera flagship store.
