One-off piece for Rimowa.
Door is a bridge between the movement in which Rimowa is rooted and the domestic in which object design is grounded. This piece is a functional and decorative object, where Tom and Treaptyque connected. Each of them in their own environment, industrial design and interior design.
Another aspect behind this work is the wink to Haussmann style. As Tom encounter this decor every day around him in Paris, it is reflected in the parquet floor, but especially in the mouldings.
The door was displayed at the « As Seen By » exhibition organised by Rimowa in Berlin, November 2022.
